Your Waldorf Bathroom Is Over 20 Years Old — Here's Why That Matters

The original bathrooms at 2 & 8 Rean Drive were built in 2003. After two decades, most are showing their age — and some are quietly becoming a liability.

Grout and caulking failure allows water to penetrate behind tiles and into the plumbing stack — damaging your unit and the one below

Aging fixtures and valves increase the risk of slow leaks that go undetected until significant damage is done

Original fibreglass surrounds and cultured marble surfaces are at or past their expected lifespan

Insurance exposure increases when aging plumbing connections fail and cause damage to neighbouring units

Resale and rental value — a renovated bathroom is one of the highest-return upgrades you can make in a condo

A properly renovated bathroom doesn't just look better. It protects your investment and your neighbours.

Before You Renovate at 2 & 8 Rean Drive — What You Need to Know

Every renovation at NY Towers requires approval before work begins. Here's what the process looks like — and how Urban Ark handles it for you.

  • Step 1 — Contact your Property Manager to request an In-Suite Renovation/Alteration Agreement
  • Step 2 — Submit your renovation scope for building management review and approval
  • Step 3 — Elevator time must be booked in advance for all material deliveries and removal
  • Step 4 — All work must be completed within building quiet hours — typically weekdays 8am to 5pm
  • Step 5 — A refundable damage deposit is usually required by management before work begins

Urban Ark manages every one of these steps on your behalf. You focus on choosing your tiles — we handle the rest.

We Know Your Bathroom Before We Arrive

The Waldorf's East Tower (2 Rean) and West Tower (8 Rean) were designed by Kirkor Architects and built by Daniels Corporation. Both towers share a common set of bathroom floor plan templates — so we already know your layout before we set foot in your suite.

The most common bathroom types at 2 & 8 Rean Drive are the 4-piece ensuite with tub and shower combo, the 3-piece corner shower bathroom, and the larger Garden Villa ensuite exclusive to ground floor units.
